Treatment: Ortho-K (Eye Braces)

Ortho-K or Orthokeratology is a treatment that uses customised gas permeable contact lenses to temporary reshape the cornea and correct myopia at night. It gently presses on the cornea and flattening it during sleep and thus allows you to have good vision during the day without the need to wear glasses or contact lenses. There is an added benefits for kids to help control myopia progression.

Who is recommended for Ortho-K?

– People who are having dry eye symptoms while wearing soft contact lenses.

– People who prefer to see clearly in the day without the use of glasses or contact lenses.

– People who do a lot of sports activities or athletics.

– People who are using soft contact lenses for extended period of time (more than 12 hours a day and 7 days a week.

– People who is not candidate for Lasik.

– Children who are looking to control Myopia Progression.

Process

Pre-assessment to be conducted to determine if you are a suitable candidate. After fitting is done, the wearer should sleep while wearing the lens, and have a contact-lens consultation on the morning following the first night of lens wear. Follow-up visits should be conducted at the following time intervals:

• Early the morning after the first night
• In the morning after the first week
• In the mid-afternoon after three weekss
• In the mid-afternoon after two months
• In the mid-afternoon after three months
• Then, a follow-up every six months

Package

Our package starts from $999 depending on complexity and the amount of chair time. It includes 1 set of cleaning solution. Glasses or soft contact lenses will be provided if vision is not acceptable during the first week of fitting. It is recommended to replace the lenses annually.
