Lens Knowledge

– Low Index lenses are recommended for someone with prescription between 0 to -3.00
– Mid Index lenses are recommended for someone with prescription between -3.00 to -5.00
– High Index lenses are recommended for someone with prescription higher than -5.00

In short, the higher the prescription, the thicker the lens will be. From the photo, you can see that the lens get more thicker at the side, thus the bigger the frame, the thicker the lens will be. In conclusion, for people with higher prescription, go for higher index lenses and smaller frame choice.
